From the tip to the guide wire exit (length 25 cm) the catheter has two lumens. The outer lumen received a guide wire Ø0.014" to facilitate the advancement of the catheter and the inner lumen is for aspiration. The distal 25cm long outer area is covered with a hydrophilic coating to reduce friction. The proximal part is made of single lumen made of plastic tube.
